  Chuck Black first encounters Sting as he's trying to capture one of the gang, Dark Scorpion. As he's outnumbered, Sting just appears out of nowhere and helps him. Everyone underestimates Sting due to his naive (even dumb) looking exterior, but actually he is a great fighter. In the town, Sting sees the amount of the reward money for Gold Romany, he decides to become a hunter and pursue them so he could earn some money. On the way, he helps a girl (Romy) in distress, and carries her things all the way to her house, and meets the rest of the 3 girls that she lives with (They are the Gold Romany). The next day, as he follows Chuck to the canyon where federal agents are positioned to capture Gold Romany, and during the fight, Chuck Black shoots Romy in the arm but the girls manage to escape. The following day, Chuck and Sting separately head towards Vermaior, where they expect Romy to be getting treatment for the injury. On the way, Sting rescues Leanne McDuff who was lost in the desert and the two head towards Vermaior together. They encounter 3 heavily muscled women claiming to be Gold Romany robbing a gun store.
