Author Bio
Linda is a life-long sewer. Beginning at age four, she made her first garment and by elementary school she started sewing things for friends, so it was destined that she have a career in the industry. She loves machine work, but hand work-not so much!With a degree in clothing and textiles from Oregon State University, she's taught high school, college and adult education classes; worked as a sewing machine company educator, a sewing production manager for Harry & David, and for 19 years as the editor of Sew News magazine. Since 2004, she's been the owner of G Wiz Creative Services, and does writing, editing and designing for a number of book and magazine publishers. She also leads fabric shopping tours to Hong Kong and other cities.Linda currently lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband Keith, a fabric store manager, and three dogs, Riley, Buckley and Frank, who love the idea that she works from home.
