Michael Prager has been involved with music technology for more than 15 years and has worked for such organizations as Guitar Center Management, Cakewalk, Steinberg, Disney Interactive, Spectrasonics, Q Up Arts, Sony Classical audioMIDI.com, the Columbia College Hollywood, and Keyboard Magazine. Prager has worked on various Course Technology instructional DVDs and is the author of several books and CD-ROMs from Cengage/Course Technology, including Reason 4 Power!, Reason CSi Starter, Reason CSi Master, and Sampling and Soft Synth Power!. Matt Piper has indulged his passion for music technology as a recording engineer, music producer, studio owner, musician/composer, and experimental music promoter since moving to Los Angeles in 1991. He joined the Course Technology family in 2005 with the publication of Reason 3 Power!, which he co-authored with Michael Prager. In 2006, he authored Using Reason's Virtual Instruments: Skill Pack, an in-depth study of synthesis and how to make your own patches in Reason. Piper can currently be found in music venues around town using his laptop and other electronics to make strange psychedelic sounds with various improvisational groups.
