Design/Decor: Morocco

Design/Decor: Morocco

by Francesca Torre (Author), PhilippeSaharoff (Photographer)

Synopsis

Warm, colourful, and original, the Moroccan interior can be recreated in a house or an apartment, in the North or in the South. Colourful zelliges, delicately sculpted ceilings and doors, fountains, terraces and patios, living room alcoves with multicoloured cushions, bedrooms with cedar furniture, wooden openwork tables: everything is a source of inspiration in Morocco. To create this fascinating Northern African decor, this book gives all the necessary advice for each room, complete with numerous practical text blocks which explain, for example, how to put in a terrace, make a tent, prepare a whitewash coating, or even build a small personal hammam. The photographs which illustrate these explanations allow one to discover magnificent Moroccan interiors in detail. At the end of the book, a detailed address book traces a journey from Morocco to France.
