Media Reviews
Learn how to appreciate and make the best use of your drills with this little manual. Similar to other books in the Missing Shop Manual series (see Circular Saws and Jig Saws and Table Saw, above), this teaches how to choose the tool and take care of its parts; unlike the titles reviewed above, this volume features basic projects. Simple but very well done. Drills and Drill Presses covers both corded and cordless drills and tells you what type of drill is best for the type of work you do. There is a large illustrated list of accessories and drill bits as well as tips for drilling straight and plumb. There are tips on drilling at angles and for enlarging holes already bored. The drill press is well illustrated showing the anatomy of a generic tool. Maintenance of the drill press is covered as well as speed selecting for specific work as well as converting the drill press into a drum sander. There are 101 pages full of information.
