  Grandfather and his delightful, but demanding dog Roo run away again, this time to Australia; their adventures are told through the letters he sends home to his grandchild. They go in search of Uncle Vincent, last heard of prospecting for gold, but are ill-prepared for the journey and soon need rescueing themselves.
