This book is timely and valuable. Its global range alone makes it worth the attention of managers and researchers - women and men alike - who need to understand the role women can and should play in developed and developing economies. In exploring the cultural images of managers in numerous countries, and testing these against the realities of what actually constitutes leadership in the global economy, the book breaks new ground. Rosabeth Moss Kanter, Harvard Business School
