Children and young adults will appreciate the chance to learn the secrets of professional moves.--Sara Rofofsky Marcua, Yeshiva Har Torah, Little Ne School Library Journal (06/01/2008)
A colorful and useful manual for mastering numerous skateboard tricks.... Appealing to beginners, this book is recommended for public libraries serving large skating communities.-- (08/01/2008)
A very complete guide to the sport.... More comprehensive than the Scholastic series or Skateboard: Your Guide to Street, Vert, and Downhill by Loizos, this is a very useful and informative guide.-- (02/05/2009)
Provides photos and step-by-step instructions for boys and girls wishing to learn skateboarding, from the very basics to difficult tricks. Helpful tips, glossary and index are included. My two sixth grade skateboarder boys agreed that the photos are a good match to the text. They thought the book would be good for beginners as well as experienced skateboarders. The book generated a lot of excitement in the skateboarder crowd. After reading this book, even I could do it!-- (05/18/2009)
This book gives the reader a wealth of information on the sport of skateboarding. The reader learns the maneuvers needed - whether the rider is a beginner or experienced. The reader also learns about safety issues, the kind of skateboards available to purchase, lots of step by step photos and tips from skateboarding pros. The text is clear and informative. Includes a glossary, an index and an introduction. A definite purchase for all libraries since this sport has grown dramatically in popularity.-- (06/30/2010)
