Author Bio

Gary Allen teaches food writing and food & culture courses as an adjunct at Empire State College (part of the State University of New York). He has written, edited, illustrated, or contributed to some forty books from his home in the Hudson Valley-including (as sole author): The Resource Guide for Food Writers; The Herbalist in the Kitchen; Herbs: A Global History; Sausage: A Global History; and Can It!
