A Post-Neoliberal Era in Latin America?: Revisiting cultural paradigms

by Daniel Nehring (Editor), Gerardo Gomez Michel (Editor), Magdalena Lopez (Editor)

Synopsis

Ongoing conflicts between neoliberal and post-neoliberal politics have resulted in growing social instability in Latin America. Through a range of disciplinary and transnational perspectives, this book explores neoliberalism and post-neoliberalism in contemporary Latin America as a set interrelated cultural forms, analysing the multiple discourses and cultural practices through which a societal consensus for the pursuit of neoliberal politics may be established, defended and contested.
