Author Bio
Peter Bently studied languages at Oxford. He lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes with his wife and a perfect ready-made audience of two young children. He enjoys visiting schools and sharing his writing. Inspired by living close to the sea, The Shark in the Dark is Peter's first picture book for Macmillan. He is also the author of Cats Ahoy! and Santa Selfie. Anna Chernyshova trained in academic drawing in her birthplace of Russia before studying the prestigious MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Anna was highly commended in the 2014 Macmillan Prize and has since illustrated several young fiction titles. Santa Selfie is her first picture book. Anna lives in Cambridge with her husband and young daughter who constantly inspires her book illustrations.
