Author Bio
David Perrin has over 40 years of experience as an athletic training educator, clinician and researcher. He was a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) for 13 years, where he helped to write the guidelines for accreditation of both undergraduate and graduate education programmes. He was also the founding editor of the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation (JSR). Ian McLeod is an assistant clinical professor in the department of physician assistant studies in Northern Arizona University. His expertise includes athletic training, sports medicine and primary care. McLeod was also a member of the U.S. team's medical staff at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
