Author Bio
Lloyd Trott is Academy Dramaturg at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. He has taught actors at RADA for 38 years. He plans and casts the Academy's public repertoire with the Academy's Director. He has two main teaching strands, Dramaturgy and Professional Development. Lloyd is the Academy's primary liaison with Actors' Agents and Casting Directors in the UK and shepherds the acting students through their Third Year and into the profession. In the mid-nineties he was Dramaturg at Theatr Clwyd. He taught dramaturgy on the MA Writing for Performance at Goldsmiths College 1998-2005, since when he has worked full-time at RADA. Lloyd is an Associate of the Wrestling School - the theatre company devoted to producing the plays of Howard Barker. Lloyd was the 2011 Winner of the Kenneth Tynan Award for services to dramaturgy in the UK.
