Synopsis

Dea Donahue has been able to travel through people's dreams since she was six years old. Her mother taught her the three rules of walking: Never interfere. Never be seen. Never walk the same person's dream more than once. Dea has never questioned her mother, not about the rules, not about the clocks or the mirrors, not about moving from place to place to be one step ahead of the unseen monsters that Dea's mother is certain are right behind them.

Then a mysterious new boy, Connor, comes to town and Dea finally starts to feel normal. As Connor breaks down the walls that she's had up for so long, he gets closer to learning her secret. For the first time she wonders if that's so bad. But when Dea breaks the rules, the boundary between worlds begins to deteriorate. How can she know what's real and what's not?

Media Reviews
This is a story that taps into our nightmares; that fleeting moment we may feel we see something behind us in a mirror or that second of wakefulness during which we see someone at the bottom of our bed. What if we aren't imagining it? We also ignore at our peril the book blurb warning that Dreamland is unputdownable. I did ignore it and my early night became an early-hours-of-the-morning. Was I tired the next day? Heck, yes. Do I regret it? Most definitely not! * The Bookbag *

Dreamland seeped into my own dreams and made me question the line between reality and dreamscape. Original and riveting. * Megan Shepherd, author of THE MADMAN'S DAUGHTER and THE CAGE *
Dreamland is an inventive blend of fantasy and mystery full of nail-biting twists that draw you in and keep you guessing. Beware! Once you start this book, you won't put it down. * Andrea Cremer, New York Times bestselling author of the Nightshade series *
This complexly characterized and multidimensional novel rewards readers with a deep sense of place, an unusual world, and an entirely enjoyable romance. * Publishers Weekly *
'With a well-developed dream world and mythology combined with a compelling real world mystery and monsters to uncover, Dreamland is an easy-to-read book with likeable characters.' * SFX *
