Author Bio
Dr Chris Johnstone is one of the UK's leading resilience trainers and has been teaching resilience skills for over thirty years. After a first degree specializing in psychology, he graduated in medicine with distinction in 1986. After training as a GP, he moved into the mental health field, where for many years he ran groups teaching resilience skills. Influenced much by positive psychology, he trained with Martin Seligman in 2005. Since then he has pioneered the role of resilience training in mental health promotion, coaching practice and the workplace. His books include Find Your Power - A Toolkit for Resilience and Positive Change, Active Hope (co-authored with Joanna Macy) and The Happiness Training Plan audiobook (co-presented with Miriam Akhtar). He lives in the north of Scotland and teaches resilience courses online at CollegeofWellbeing.com.
