Author Bio
Traer Scott is the bestselling author of Shelter Dogs (2006), Street Dogs (2007), Wild Horses; Endangered Beauty (2008), and Newborn Puppies (Chronicle, 2013). Scott's work has been featured in Life, Vogue, People, O and dozens of other major national and international publications. Recent solo exhibitions of her work have been held in New York, Providence and Tokyo. Scott was the recipient of the 2008 Helen Woodward Humane Award for animal welfare activism, the 2010 Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Photography Fellowship Grant, and the 2011 Critical Mass Photographer's Showcase Award. Scott resides in Providence, Rhode Island, where she also teaches photography at Rhode Island School of Design.
