Author Bio

Peter Bently lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes with his wife and a perfect ready-made audience of two young children. He enjoys visiting schools and libraries where he shares his stories with children - but not before he's tried them out on his family. Peter draws much inspiration from living close to the sea, although he's yet to see a real pirate.

Penny Dann loved to draw so much when she was was little that she carried on doing it at college. Soon after, she started illustrating children's books and has never looked back, now with numerous children's books to her name. She is probably best known for her very popular The Secret Fairy series by Orchard, which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Penny lives in Brighton with her partner Tom and a very grumpy cat called Earl, but no pet pirate.
