Media Reviews
We've really enjoyed reading The Christmas Show together, it's funny, you can easily relate to the characters. It's a perfect story for this time of year * over40andamumtoone.com *
A wonderfully comic account of a school nativity play. You would have to be clinically depressed not to laugh at this affectionate hatchet job. * The Independent *
Author Bio
Rebecca Patterson graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2009 with an MA in Children's Book Illustration and came third in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration in the same year. A rising star in children's picture books, she won the 2012 Roald Dahl Funny Prize for her book, My Big Shouting Day (Jonathan Cape). THE CHRISTMAS SHOW is Rebecca's fourth book for Macmillan and is every bit as charming, fresh and funny as her previous titles, THE DEEP END (978-0-330-51678-5), NOT ON A SCHOOL NIGHT (978-0-230-74768-5) and THE PIRATE HOUSE (978-230-75442-6). Rebecca lives in Cambridge with her husband and two children.
