Media Reviews

Another really useful book from Francis and Gould for anyone new to teaching in adult and further education. It is mapped directly to the assessment requirements for the new award in education and training, with a very clear structure and plenty of guidance and suggestions throughout. We have been using the series of textbooks produced by these authors for at least ten years now as they continually come out top in student preference evaluations.

For their previous book I advanced the suggestion that if you want to pass your PTLLS, buy this book - I would repeat that sentiment for this new title.

-- Andrew Duff
'In the ever-changing climate within which teachers find themselves, Francis and Gould have continued to remain abreast of the times with relevant and up-to-date best practice. I highly recommend this book for those new to teaching and those who want a refresher.' -- Anne Samson
'Francis and Gould have produced a must read for anyone studying for an introductory teaching qualification. The book is practical in its approach, yet grounded in theory, and full of common sense guidance for practitioners teaching in a variety of further and higher education settings. An easy and engaging read, it offers a step-by-step guide through the planning, teaching and assessment journey. It is a welcome addition to the trainee teachers' toolbox, and will help the reader ensure that their teaching contributes to high quality learning.'
