Media Reviews
The book has a strong appeal to practitioners who strive for a clear and secure professional stance. Readers are invited to think about the potential of assessment, the role that (changing) values play in all of this and how to do children justice. -- Ulrike Hohmann, Plymouth Institute of Education, Plymouth University
This is a fabulously reassuring book that effectively challenges misconceptions about assessment and clearly states what assessment is, and what it should look like in practice... Dubiel writes with clarity, experience and deep understanding, vast knowledge and empathy, but above all, good old common sense! In addition, purchasers can access online material from the Early Excellence website that complements the book, including video material, free access to selected SAGE journal articles, and an `ask the author' facility. -- Martine Horvath
