Author Bio

Maggie is an avid children's book writer and has published several titles for Franklin Watts. Her Rumplestiltskin Returns was a fabulous new take on the Rumplestiltskin character which she published in our Race Ahead with Reading series. Her many other books range from picture book texts to a teenage vampire novel. Her first teenage novel, 'Owl-light', was short-listed for the WH Smith Mind-Boggling Books award and one of her more recent ones, 'Shadow of the Beast', was long-listed for the Carnegie Medal.
Her other interests nclude cryptic crosswords, going to the theatre and foreign travel.
