Journey inside and examine what can go wrong, as you explore the causes and symptoms for over 200 diseases and disorders, including mental health.

This new edition is thoroughly updated to reflect medical advances and includes new features on body functions and processes, human performance, and the human life cycle. Plus, an additional DVD-ROM features interactive artwork and animation so you can see how the kidneys work and watch DNA replicate.

This book is perfect for anyone curious to learn how the body works, but the quality of images and level of detail make this book an invaluable study resource for students of human biology, human anatomy, and human physiology.
