You Will Never Find Me

by RobertWilson (Author)

Synopsis

Charlie Boxer messed up his family life. First the army, then the police, then high-stakes kidnap and recovery, his ex-wife and daughter learnt to live without him as his work took him places no man can come back from unscarred.

Trying to rebuild a relationship with Amy, his teenage daughter, hasn't been easy. But Charlie only realises just how wrong things have gone when he finds her empty room and a note: You will never find me.

Having spent years working to track down kidnap victims, Charlie knows that sometimes, the missing don't want to be found. And he knows the hell it brings for families - the vanished are neither dead nor alive, but simply gone. Worse still, Charlie Boxer knows how quickly a life can fall apart once you're living under the radar.

For Charlie, danger has finally come to his front door, and to crack the hardest case he's ever worked, it's time to face up to the true meaning of the sins of the father.

Media Reviews
YOU WILL NEVER FIND ME delivers a serious adrenaline rush and a raft of memorable characters. * IRISH INDEPENDENT *
A double plot is always a gamble, because the story lines inevitably become rivals for the reader's interest. Here, there's a clear winner. Although the London kidnapping is typically well researched and replete with strong characters, it can't compete with the more visceral allure of Boxer's search in Madrid for Amy and revenge. * SUNDAY TIMES *
Written with Wilson's trademark lucidity and style this is as much a thrilling page-turner as a meditation on loss and what we would do for the ones we love. * CATHOLIC HERALD *
[A] gripping thriller. * THE SUN *
A very high-class thriller, as readers expect from Wilson, performed by characters who develop and change realistically in response to events. * MORNING STAR *
An absolutely outstanding second book of a new series by an very experienced writer... Strongly recommended. * EUROCRIME *
An exceptional page-turner... If you haven't read Robert Wilson before the Charlie Boxer series is a great place to start and I can guarantee you will be diving into his previous work straight after. * BITE THE BOOK *
Robert Wilson ratchets up the pace, ups the ante on the action and keeps you plugged into a story with hidden depths. * NORTHERN ECHO *

Written with Wilson's trademark lucidity and style, this is as much a thrilling page-turner as a meditation on loss and what we would do for the ones we love. -- Stav Sherez * CATHOLIC HERALD *
To call this a thriller is to cheapen Wilson's 'tour de force' about this small, dysfunctional group of people who keep each other at arm's length whilst drowning in their own isolation. I was totally consumed by 'You Will Never Find Me' and this level of writing can only be produced by a master of his craft. This is an astonishing and thought provoking novel of the highest order. * CRIMESQUAD *
Wilson is a master thriller writer and he proves it again with his new novel... If you haven't read Robert Wilson before the Charlie Boxer series is a great place to start. * BITETHEBOOK.COM *

This fantastic story is a roller coaster of sheer terror and is definitely not one to miss! * BRADFORD TELEGRAPH & ARGUS *
An absolute humdinger of a follow up to Capital Punishment... Superbly tense. * PETERBOROUGH EVENING TELEGRAPH *
The broken family at the heart of this mystery breathes life into this intriguing tale. * BIG ISSUE *
