Media Reviews
It is an unusually deep and extremely powerful reading experience. An absolute must for all children. * CBI Recommended Reads 2013 *
A wordless picture book relating a little girl's adventures as she draws and enters a magic doorway. -- Robert Dunbar * Irish Times *
When you don't have words to lean on, the pictures have to work hard and Becker's do: they're original, modern and nostalgic. Worth turning it all off for. -- Alex O'Connell * The Times, Children's Book of the Week *
A brief nod to Crockett Johnson's Harold and the Purple Crayon and a wink to Anthony Browne's Bear stories . . . there is so much for anyone and everyone here: adventure, danger, sadness, joy, beauty, wonder, and most important of all, creativity and the imagination . . . All these are so brilliantly encompassed within this amazing story. . . I think this has to be my FAVOURITE EVER wordless picture book. * Red Reading Hub *
