Frances Dean loves to dance. In her every waking moment, she is inspired to move - she feels the wind and dances, hears the singing of the birds and dances. But as soon as anyone is around, her knees begin to tremble, butterflies start to flutter in her tummy and ... she forgets how to dance. Will she ever find the courage within herself to share her talent with other people and ... feel free? But then, one day, Frances Dean notices something - someone - unusual and it surprises her and inspires her all at once...

Media Reviews
Will move you to be yourself -- Fiona Noble * Bookseller Children's Guide *
Birgitta Sif writes books for people like us; she takes characters that are introverted and she makes them brave; she makes them heroes in their own way, and if you are a little shy that is truly uplifting. * The Illustrated Forest *
The illustrations are a real delight, quirky and unusual and very expressive. A lovely story. * Parents in Touch *
A delightful and thoughtful picture book. * Books for Keeps *
This gentle yet inspiring and energizing tale is perfectly served by Sif's sparse text and wonderful illustrations. Dreamy and detailed, these are pictures to get lost in. The simplicity and universality of the story (we're not talking ballet here, just the pure joy of movement) make it perfect to share with the quiet child in your life. * Children's Books Ireland Recommended Read *
