Natasha May is the pseudonym of Veronica Bennett, who worked for several years as an English lecturer before devoting her time to writing fiction. She is the author of Angelmonster, based on the life of Mary Shelley; Cassandra's Sister, based on the life of Jane Austen, as well as Shakespeare's Apprentice and nine previous Poppy Love titles. Veronica lives in Hampton, Middlesex. Shelagh McNicholas has illustrated many children's books, including nine previous Poppy Love titles. She lives in Liverpool with her daughter, Molly, and their cat, Jelli.
