Too Noisy!

by EdVere (Illustrator), Malachy Doyle (Author)

Synopsis

A heart warming read-aloud (shout-aloud!) comedy from Malachy Doyle, boldly illustrated by Ed Vere, about a very noisy family and a very quiet middle child ... who just wants some PEACE!! The Bungles are ever such a noisy bunch and Sam, the middle Bungle, is desperate to escape his booming, twooting, banging, clanging family. So, off he wanders into the wood for some peace and quiet. Deeper and deeper he goes, until ... EEK! What's that climbing up his trouser leg? BEEK! He's lost and cold and scared! Oh, how he misses the comfortable hullaboo of his own Bungle tribe. But wait ... what can he hear?! A boomty-boomty-booming! Who could it be? You've guessed it! It's his family all a-banging, squeaking and squawking! Sam realizes that quiet may be good ... but noisy's just as good sometimes - especially when you're lost!

Media Reviews
a great book for anyone with preschool children off to face the world * We Love This Book *
Vere's loud splashes of colour and the syncopated rhythm of Doyle's text capture the hubbub perfectly. * CBI recommended reads of 2012 *
... a perfect read-aloud. The playful text is perfectly in tune with the quirky illustration, and both text and illustration have integrity that results in a very special book. * Inis *
evocative illustrations in hues so deep you'll want to dive inside the scene, while poetic text in jazzy mixed typefaces brings the story to sqwaking, squelching life * Junior *
