Author Bio
Jan Mark was one of this country's finest writers for young people. She was twice awarded the Carnegie Medal and also won the Guardian, Observer and Angel fiction awards. Her many titles include Taking the Cat's Way Home (9781844281282), Lady Long Legs (9781406306217), The Snow Maze (9781844289684) and The Museum Book (9781844287499). David Hughes is an artist whose work combines illustration, graphic design, photography and animation. His darkly humorous, satirical drawings, often dealing with issues of war, politics and social crisis, have appreared in Punch, The Observer and The New Yorker, and have been exhibited internationally. He has also received great acclaim for his children's picture books including the Walker title Bully (9780744536249) which was shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize in 1993.
