Michael Morpurgo has an unparalleled reputation as a children's storyteller. He is the author of Private Peaceful, winner of the 2004 Red House Children's Book Award, as well as the prize-winning The Butterfly Lion and Wreck of the Zanzibar. He lives in Devon. Peter Bailey has been illustrating books for more than thirty-five years, and has worked with some of Britain's best known authors, including Philip Pullman, Dick King-Smith and many others. He lives near Liverpool.
