Author Bio
Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924) was an English playwright and author most famous for her children's books Little Lord Fauntleroy, The Secret Garden and A Little Princess. Born near Manchester, her family emigrated to the United States when she was a teenager. She became a popular writer of both children's and adult fiction, and helped produce the stage versions of Little Lord Fauntleroy and A Little Princess.
