Author Bio
Bel Mooney was born in Liverpool. When she left school she went to University College London, and in 1969 gained a first class honours degree in English Language and Literature. She is now a Fellow of UCL and in 1998 was awarded a D.Litt from Bath University. When she graduated she began as a feature writer for the legendary magazine Nova, then other national magazines and newspapers, including the New Statesman under the editorship of Anthony Howard. She has been a columnist for (variously) the Daily Express, Daily Mirror, The Times, Sunday Times and The Listener - too many to list. She is also the author of 11 Kitty books. The first one was written because her daughter Kitty wanted a story 'for her'. Bel lives in Bath.
