Media Reviews
Cynthia Occelli and I have been friends for over a decade. She has a spirit of peace that I saw severely tested by a tumultuous and painful journey. I have never seen anyone come through such difficulty with so much grace, calm, and excitement about life. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed, I pray, and then I talk to Cynthia. She has a way of seeing through all the 'stuff ' and getting right to the core of what's going on. With a gentle hand and listening ear, she's able to help me navigate my way back to sanity.Cynthia often talks to me about enjoying life, taking care of myself, and reveling in my femininity. In a 'dog eat dog' world, she has shown me by example that it's okay, even empowering, to use the unique gifts that God gave us as women to live our dreams and fulfill our life purpose. Cynthia can tap into chaos and negative emotions and come away with a clear understanding of how to overcome those challenges. I love my friend, and I thank God for her. -Sherri Shepherd, comedienne, actress, co-host of The View, author of Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Yourself a Break In language both eloquent and direct, Resurrecting Venus takes us into the depths of the feminine essence in its earthy and mystical aspects. Cynthia echoes a time when the truths she shares prevailed on the planet, when the gifts of the divine feminine were fully recognized and flourished to the profound benefit of all sentient beings. She reminds us that honoring the feminine or Shakti principle of life force is, in fact, the key to healing not only individual wounds, but also the woundedness of the world at large. A must read for women and men alike. -Michael Bernard Beckwith, Author of Life Visioning Finally, a woman who understands men! Cynthia decodes the minds and motivations of men and gives women a clear approach to inspiring us to give them our all. She's living proof that the most powerful women are those who embrace their feminine strengths. Resurrecting Venus is pure genius; every single woman alive should read it and celebrate. -Tony Berkman, CEO, Blog Catalog I loved reading every word. Cynthia's writing is captivating. She brilliantly explains how all women, from homemakers to high-level executives, can use their feminine power to create fulfilling lives and that being a powerful woman doesn't mean behaving like a man. She courageously reveals her own mistakes and heart-rending tragedies as a means for giving hope to all 'sisters' and helping us make better choices. Resurrecting Venus is incredibly inspiring! -Shelly Lefkoe, Co-founder, Lefkoe Institute & Author of Parenting the Lefkoe Way Resurrecting Venus is a call for all women to more deeply awaken to who we are and let our healing power bring positive change to our planet. With true stories and timeless wisdom, Cynthia lovingly shows us how to fill our hearts, so we can transform our lives and the lives of others. -Agapi Stassinopoulos, Author of Unbinding the Heart Resurrecting Venus speaks to generations of women and unlocks the mystery of how to be feminine while remaining in your power. Cynthia takes you on a journey of personal transformation and an exploration of love, sisterhood, grace, and beauty. She embodies modern-day Venus and will connect you to your inner goddess. Read this book! -Latham Thomas, Author of Mama Glow: A Hip Guide to Your Fabulous Abundant Pregnancy Resurrecting Venus is a must read for any person, especially women who have been subjected to the denial and abuse of the feminine, including Mother Earth, and are now ready to fully grasp and actualize their true, divine nature. This book is wonderfully written and so very personal and practical. -Dr. Terry Cole-Whittaker, Author of What You Think of Me is None of My Business
Author Bio
For nearly a decade, Cynthia Occelli has embodied Venus, the goddess of femininity, and helped other women discover and claim their right to be joyous, beautiful and loved by a masculine man. A former middle-school dropout who became an unwed mother on welfare in her teens and later went on to obtain a law degree, Cynthia's life has been anything but conventional. She has worked in acting, modeling, real estate, architectural design and interior decorating as well as being a life coach for women who long to connect with their inner power and feminine heart. Her own experience began when she fell in love with a man who believed women are capable, powerful and feminine. The union resulted in a happy marriage, a daughter and their dream home in Bel Air, California, all of which was brought to a sudden end when her husband suffered a brain bleed that washed away his memory, personality and their marriage. Faced with sustaining two children, a $1 million mortgage, two businesses and a shattered heart, Cynthia found her own inner strength. She learned how to use masculine energy as a tool and relied on the healing joy of being feminine to carry her through. Through her coaching and writing, she now helps women do the same.
