A comprehensive resource; accessible, well-structured and robust in useful details. A book I expect to refer to often, and to refer it to other people often as well. Adrian Penfold, Head of Planning and Environment, British Land Company plc

It might seem perverse to call a 400 page book concise but this has everything you need to know and won't now be afraid to ask. It effortlessly manages to set the historical context alongside the latest information. Its elegant directness is highly readable. The diagrams and photographs are attractive. No excuse now for not knowing, just keep it to hand. This is the real zeal. Piers Gough, Partner, CZWG Architects, London
