Author Bio
Anna De Fina is Professor of Italian Language and Linguistics at Georgetown University. She is the author of Identity in Narrative: A Study of Immigrant Discourse (2003), co-author, with Alexandra Georgakopoulou, of Analyzing Narrative: Discourse and Sociolinguistic Perspectives (2012), and co-editor of many volumes, among which Discourse and Identity (2006) with M. Bamberg and D. Schiffrin. She has published widely on topics related to migrant and transnational communities, identities, and narrative.

Alexandra Georgakopoulou is Professor of Discourse Analysis and Sociolinguistics at King's College, London. She has published 11 books including Small Stories, Interaction and Identities (2007) and Analyzing Narrative: Discourse and Sociolinguistic Perspectives (2011, with Anna De Fina) and is the author of over 70 peer-reviewed articles.
