Media Reviews
School Library Journal Six chapters with colorful titles begin with facts about the topic under several subheadings... the step-by-step directions are well written, and easy to follow..the activities are creative. The book is illustrated with humorous (but not realistic) black and white cartoon art ... It will be of interest to children and their teachers as well as homeschooling families. Family Fun Magazine Drawn in by such projects as mummified apples, hieroglyphs, colorful collar necklaces, and false beards made from toilet paper tubes, our tester families thought this book held nearly as much treasure as King Tut's tomb. Simple black-and-white drawings illustrate the 25 activities, as well as the somewhat corny jokes and unusual facts scattered throughout. Calliope Magazine Explore Ancient Egypt! will certainly intrigue readers and have them eagerly turning the pages to check out the next activity. The sidebars with information make excellent complements.
