Farewell, My Lovely

by Sara Rapoport (Illustrator), Susie Cornfield (Author)

Synopsis

Farewell, My Lovely is an illustrated collection of tributes to much loved pets. This inspirational and heart-warming compendium includes stories, poems, anecdotes and eulogies from around the globe and across the ages. Some contributors are celebrities, others are ordinary everyday folk, but all are linked by their desire to bid a fond farewell to an animal they considered a close companion or friend. You may shed a tear but, at its heart, Farewell, My Lovely celebrates the fun, joy, and love which animals bring into our lives.

Author Bio
Susie Cornfield trained as a journalist on a local newspaper before Sir Harold Evans invited her to join the staff of The Sunday Times where she was the paper's radio critic. She went on to become a columnist on the Sunday Telegraph Magazine, a scriptwriter for BBC TV and a presenter/producer for United Artists TV. She wrote the first Farewell, my Lovely in 2005, which sold out within nine weeks of first publication. She is also the author of The Queen's Prize, an acclaimed history of the National Rifle Association of Great Britain. Her first novel, Black Light, has been described by Piers Plowright as 'like Philip Pullman on speed!' 'a wholly innovative thriller...a modern classic by John Lloyd, Waterstones, and 'a rollicking read' by Patience Wheatcroft.
