Author Bio
Shelley Parker is 33, single and lives in the North West of England. She has a degree in English Language and Literature, with a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Education from the University of Liverpool. The idea for Allapatria came out of the blue one Saturday morning in June 2003 starting with Peekin walking into the author's head, complete with three-piece tweed suit. As soon as the idea for the story began to take real shape, Shelley left her science courses to write. She wrote solidly for three months and edited for a further 6 months. It was taken up by Accent, the first publisher that it was sent to. Becoming an author was always Shelley's ambition. The story has mushroomed out of all proportion and is now expected to be the first in a series of four books.
