Nosh for Students: A Fun Student Cookbook - See Every Recipe in Full Colour - 30% More Recipes Than Previous Edition

by JoyMay (Author)

Synopsis

Soon after the author's son went off to university with no cooking experience he returned after having made himself ill with chocolate bars, milk and pizza for his only means of survival. Joy decided her son needed a cookbook. After trawling the bookshop shelves for a book that was not only suitable for his level of cooking expertise but also one that would inspire him to actually cook she realised there was nothing out there that worked for him. So she wrote one herself. Realising that one of the keys to getting her son to try the recipes was to show him what it was going to look like in the end. Therefore, she made sure that there was a photo with every recipe. So, setting about photographing every dish on her dining room table, she created the first ever edition of Nosh4Students back in 2001. Now in its third edition the book has a completely new layout, new photography and includes 30% more recipes than the second edition. It is suitable for students like Ben with busy lives, a low budget and hungry stomachs.

Author Bio
I studied Art and Design at Loughborough College of Art and Design. Among other things, I now use my creativity to write cookbooks. I have been married to Ron for over 30 years and we have two sons, Ben and Tim, who have now graduated from Uni. When my sister and I were quite young, probably 5 and 6 years old, we started to cook, mainly cakes, biscuits and simple meals. By the time I was 12, we would cook Sunday lunch. I love this heritage and am passionate about good food. There is nothing I love more than having a house full of people to feed. I started out by writing out first student cookbook back in 2001. Since then we have written new editions including vegetarian versions of the original best seller. We have just finished our newest book called Nosh for Graduates which will be out in June 2010. This is a follow on to our student books and provide something a little more special and out of the ordinary. We have another book coming out later this year but I will keep a lid on that for now!
