Synopsis

This book is the sequel to nosh 4 students , a book inspired by the author's son leaving for university who was clueless in the kitchen and wanted photographs of what he was meant to be cooking!! The original nosh 4 students has about 60 vegetarian or vegetarian alternative recipes, so if you like this book it may be worth you purchasing the original one also. There are no repeats. Being vegetarian means it is not easy to buy 'fast' food and ready made meals. It therefore becomes necessary to cook! This book is set out to make cooking easy and to be inspirational, a PHOTO with every recipe should help both of these things. The recipes are planned so that you need the minimum of pans, dishes and utensils and NO WEIGHING SCALES. The stars are an indication of how easy the recipes are. One star is very quick and easy, the five stars are for you to try when you are a little more accomplished or have a bit more time. Most of the recipes are healthy and well balanced, but there is the odd, over indulgent one!

Media Reviews
THE VEGETARIAN SOCIETY: 2007 STUDENT TESTS carried out in the hallowed Cordon Vert kitchen, Voted BEST OVERALL: Simple filling recipes. This is the only book to have colour pictures, something all of the students felt was very useful. Our female students reckoned it was the best one for boys! Graham(the tester) liked the section at the front called How long can I keep this before it kills me? There was a star rating against each recipe to indicate whether the author felt it was easy or challenging to make. Recipes also mention ideas to change the dishes, serving ideas and freezing notes. --The Vegetarian - The Vegetarian Society Magazine
Author Bio
I studied Art and Design at Loughborough College of Art and Design. Among other things, I now use my creativity to write cookbooks. I have been married to Ron for over 30 years and we have two sons, Ben and Tim, who have now graduated from Uni. When my sister and I were quite young, probably 5 and 6 years old, we started to cook, mainly cakes, biscuits and simple meals. By the time I was 12, we would cook Sunday lunch. I love this heritage and am passionate about good food. There is nothing I love more than having a house full of people to feed. I have produced this book as a follow up to Nosh 4 Students . It still provides simple recipes, but ones that progress from the ordinary and utilitarian. I trust that you will enjoy this book and be further inspired to produce great food.
