Synopsis

Great British Marine Animals is an eye-opening celebration of Britain's sea creatures, from the magnificent basking shark to the tiny but dazzlingly colourful jewel anemone. The book is both an identification guide and an introduction to the animals' fabulous forms and intriguing habits. It will appeal to everyone who loves wildlife and beautiful photography, or wants to discover more about our seas. In addition to clear portraits that aid identification, full-page photos and photographic sequences show animals in action in their natural habitat. Author Bio
Paul Naylor has been snorkelling around the coast of Britain for 30 years. Whether in the muddy shallows of a beach lagoon in Norfolk or in the deep and clear water around the Orkneys, he has always been entranced by the animals that live there. For the last 20 years, Paul has concentrated on photographing these animals in their natural habitat wherever possible, showing them getting on with their lives despite his attention. He talks to schools, colleges, conservation groups and diving clubs on the wonders of our marine fauna; and writes regularly about marine life for diving magazines and other publications. He has a doctorate in marine biology and is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society. This is his fourth book.
