So That You May be One

So That You May be One

by JohnHill (Translator), JoaBolendas (Author)

Synopsis

Joa Bolendas, a 40-year-old mother and pastor's wife, living in Switzerland, began to experience while in prayer, a series of visions and conversations with divine spiritual beings. This book records these conversations between 1957 and 1990 in simple language. The statements that emerge from her visions -- on such themes as the Grail, the Rosary, Icons, the Old and New Testaments -- urge us towards a new evolutionary unity: unity of the churches, unity of the forces within each individual, unity of the peoples of the earth. Excerpts from her journals, which describe her struggle to understand her experiences, and a selection of the music -- the Vision songs -- that she received while in prayer are also included.

Media Reviews
'This inspiring book opens up a new vista for spirituality and the Church in our times. The intensity of Bolendas' spiritual life shines through, but so does her firm and practical character. [...] If we can rediscover this truth of light and apply it, there may be a real opportunity for ecumenical progress beyond legalistic reformations of doctrine. This book is the herald of such a possibility.' -- Network, August 1998
Author Bio
Joa Bolendas, now in her eighties, is a contemporary Swiss visionary and down to earth mystic in the mold of Hildegard of Bingen. The wife of a pastor and mother of three children, she began having visions in the 1950s. Although word of her visions have reached many, she continues to live simply, visiting neighborhood churches to pray and receiving visions whose range and depth continue to expand.
