Author Bio
Earl L. Core (1902-1984) was a botanist and botanical educator, researcher and author as well as a local West Virginia historian. He is author of Spring Wildflowers of West Virginia and co-wrote of the four-volume Flora of West Virginia. He was a biology professor at WVU where the 75-acre arboretum managed by the university bears his name.
