This book which is part of a series describes the new sights, sounds unfamiliar people and places very young children are likely to encounter on a journey. It tells the story of two children and their first journey in a large passenger ship. When they have climbed on board with their parents the boat sets sail and the children look back and watch the other ships in the harbour. They then begin exploring the boat, and the captain invites them on to the bridge. They meet some other children and make new friends and at the end of their adventure, they arrive at a port in another country. At the back of the book there is a list of discussion ideas for parents and teachers to use.
