The author is presently the Headteacher of a large primary school at Crickhowell in Powys. She has taught, during her experience, every age group in the primary sector. She has made a speciality of the implementation of the linguistic and literary aspects of the curriculum for Lower Juniors and, as a member of the County Steering Committee, she is responsible for co-ordinating the in-service training of teachers.
