Synopsis

This vocabulary book is an invaluable guide for pupils preparing for Common Entrance and other entrance exams at 13+ and lists all the Latin words required at this level (from Autumn 2014 onward, there are three additional pieces of vocabulary required for Level 2 and 3 exams, which can be downloaded from www.galorepark.co.uk). Words are arranged first alphabetically, first from Latin to English and then from English to Latin. Author Bio
About the Author Bob Bass taught at prep schools in Somerset, Kenya and Sussex before moving to Orwell Park, Ipswich, where he is Head of Classics and Director of Studies. He is the ICTeditor for the Journal of Classics Teaching and has served on the Council of the Joint Association of Classical Teachers. For twelve years he edited the SATIPS Classics Broadsheet. He is the IAPS Classics Co-ordinator and the Chief Setter of ISEB's Common Entrance and Common Academic Scholarship Latin papers. About ISEB The Independent Schools Examination Board (ISEB) offers examinations for pupils transferring from junior to senior schools at the ages of 11+ and 13+. The syllabuses are devised and regularly monitered by the ISEB, which is composed of representitives from the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference, the Girls' Schools Association and the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools.
