Keith Shadwick was a respected critic, contributing thoughtful analyses of rock, jazz and classical music for The Independent, Jazzwise, Gramophone, ClassicFM and JazzFM. He was the author of several books including a biography of Bill Evans, and Led Zeppelin 1968-1980, both published by Backbeat Books. Shadwick died in London in July 2008, aged 57.
