Mike Molenda A seminal member of the San Francisco punk/new wave community in the mid 1970s, Molenda is listed in Who's Who in California Rock for his band Silhouette and as a solo artist. Molenda's compositions and productions have appeared in the Michael Douglas film The Game, on TV's Spin City, a 2003 PBS documentary on the Indian occupation of Alcatraz. In 1998, Molenda became editor in chief of Guitar Player, and helped increase the magazine's circulation from 128,000 to 150,000 (including a subscriber base of more than 117,000 - the largest of any gear magazine at any time) in a tough and competitive marketplace. Foreword by Les Paul. Les Paul not only established himself as a rock-n-roll icon, but assured his immortality with the development of the solidbody electric guitar. A popular guitar player of the 1940's, Paul focused his talents on both music performance and electronic design.
