Book Overview: Extensive radio interview campaign, focusing on the immigration debate. Nationwide galley-mailing, with special emphasis on the Southwest--the Los Angeles Times, the Dallas Morning News, Phoenix New Times, Tucson Weekly, and other major papers in the region. We'll also send to art/photo publications. Aggressive web, list-serve campaign, to Chicano lists and sites, political sites and more. Ideally, we'd like to plan an exhibition tour of the photographs, or at least have a slideshow event with commentary by authors. Authors live in NY, so events could be done there, with effort towards getting to the Southwest (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas). Partner with appropriate organizations around the country that work on immigrant rights issues. Connect with MECHA--Chicano student organizations at various campuses. Planning to have photos on the City Lights web site as an enticement.
