  This Guidance Note is principally concerned with the electrical installation aspects of earthing and bonding together with automatic disconnection which forms the principal protective measure against indirect contact electric shock. It draws from the requirements embodied in the relevant parts, chapters and sections of BS 7671:2001 Requirements for Electrical Installations ( IEE Wiring Regulations, 16th Edition ), as amended by Amendment No 2: 2004.
