Raspberry House Blues (Flyways)

Raspberry House Blues (Flyways)

by Linda Holeman (Author)

Synopsis

Poppy is an aptly named red-head with an attitude problem. Yet, beneath her normally cool, dismissive exterior is a more vulnerable, likeable side. At home with her adoptive mother, tensions abound as Poppy focuses her teenage angst by fantasizing about the birth mother she has never known. After a row with her mother, and hoping to trace her real mother, Poppy takes off to visit her father and his new family in Winnipeg.

Media Reviews
'Full of teenage angst, this book tackles the sensitive subject of someone trying to establish her true identity.' -- Booktrusted (www.booktrusted.com) 'A fascinating book covering real issues.' -- Education Otherwise 'Another compulsive read from the author of the successful Mercy's Birds (Floris Books, 2000). This is a compelling read. Poppy is a believable character, with many flaws and virtues, who eventually overcomes the issues created in her mind, thus finding her true self in the process.' -- Amazon.co.uk Editorial Review
